“Wine and Fish Bike Trip”: La Rioja, Basque Coast and San Sebastian

Transfer of the participants from the airport of arrival to the place of accommodation in La Rioja. Estimated journey from 1 hour and a half to 2 hours depending on the arrival airport (Bilbao, San Sebastián, Pamplona or Biarritz)
In the afternoon there will be a tour of about 40 kilometers to personalize the bike with the cyclist. Taking measures, advice and explanation of the routes will be the contents of the information that will be offered to the participants.

Breakfast and departure to enjoy cycling the main stage through the region of La Rioja. On this circular route we will visit the towns of Elciego (Marqués de Riscal Winery), Nájera and Santo Domingo de la Calzada, places where the “Camino de Santiago” has historically passed. It is the heart of La Rioja, with its medieval villages, vineyard fields and famous wine cellars protected by the prestigious denomination of origin

Breakfast and departure for the third stage of the Bike Tour. Magnificent linear journey from the Hotel through quiet roads that cross the Sierra de Cantabria to Peñacerrada, a place belonging to the Izki Natural Park.
Maintaining the north direction, you finally reach Vitoria, but not before crossing part of Treviño County, a unique enclave that belongs to the community of Castilla.
Vitoria-gasteiz, is the capital of the Basque Country, where the government of the Basque Country is located. City with large green spaces and where there is a wide network of roads to move by bicycle.

Breakfast and transfer by car to until the small maritime town of Lekeitio where the bikes will be taken for the cyclist route till San Sebastián.
Beautiful linear route that runs through the picturesque maritime towns of the Basque coast between Bilbao and San Sebastián. To highlight Lekeitio, Zumaia, Getaria and Zarauz. Last ascent to Monte Igueldo to descend to San Sebastián (this route was carried out by the Tour de France in 2023)

Breakfast. Departure from San Sebastián to carry out a complete bicycle route that we will be combined with short boat trips. The second of which will be used to cross the border between Spain and France.
Varied route that we will begin with the ascent to Jaizkibel (459mts) which is ascended in the “Clásica de San Sebastián” (WORLD TOUR bike race), to descend to Fuenterrabia. Once in France, the coast road between Hendaye and Saint Jean de Luz will be cycled, to visit the picturesque inland villages of the French Basque Country. A final ascent through the Lizuniaga pass (219 meters) through the Pyrenees mountains will take us to the Navarre town of Bera de Bidasoa. Return by car to San Sebastián.

Breakfast and transfer to the Airport
