On your own you will get to Roncesvalles (950 meters altitude), but we can arrange your transfer to this place with difficult access by public transport. Once installed in the accommodation, you can visit this historical setting and places like the collegiate church of Our Lady of Roncesvalles, the church of Santiago or the mysterious construction of Charlemagne’s Silo. Stage in gentle descent from Roncesvalles (950 mts) to the Pamplona basin (450 mts). You must take it easy and make the stops indicated to visit the typical Pyrenean villages.

From Pamplona the route runs through ancient medieval towns, traveled from antiquity by pilgrims. I especially recommend the mysterious Church of Santa Maria de Eunate, and then make a long stop in Estella.Other interesting places to visit is Puente La Reina.

Destination to Logroño, land of wine. On the way it is important to make stops in places like the Monastery of Irache, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher or make a short stop to admire the town hall of Viana.After arriving in Logroño, you can make visits to different points of interest of the place and enjoy emblematic places.

Our goal of this stage is Santo Domingo de la Calzada. On the way, important places such as the remains of the Church of San Juan de Acre, the Monastery of Santa María la Real or the Monastery of Suso and Yuso, declared World Heritage Site, are traversed.You will arrive in Santo Domingo de la Calzada, medieval town with interesting visits such as its Cathedral or the Interpretation Center of the Camino de Santiago.

In this long stage it is important to make stops in places like the Church of San Pedro, the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Rock in Tosantos or the prehistoric site of Atapuerca. After arriving in Burgos, you can make visits to different points of interest of the place and enjoy emblematic places as well as walk and eat pinchos (miniature gastronomic) along their acclimated streets in an imaginary trip to the Middle Ages.

Beginning of the flattest area of the Camino, the fields of Castile and the Palentia Romanesque architecture. Finally you will arrive at Carrión de los Condes, where you can make visits to different points of interest in the place such as the Royal Monastery of San Zoilo or the Church of Santiago.

Stage with destination to León. On the way it is interesting to make stops in cities such as Sahagún After crossing beautiful landscapes you will reach León, where you can make visits to different points of interest of the place such as the houses and palaces of its historic center, the Cathedral of León, the Convent of San Marcos or the Jewish neighborhood.

Easy and affordable route to Astorga. It is recommended to arrive as soon as possible to visit this monumental city. On the way it is important to make stops in places like the Puente de Órbigo or the Church of San Juan Bautista.

Destination to Ponferrada. The mountain pass of the Cruz de Ferro is the main difficulty of the stage. After reaching Ponferrada, you can visit different points of interest such as the Clock Tower, the most characteristic icon of Ponferrada, the church of Santo Tomás de las Ollas, the Church of Santa María de Vizbayo or the Castillo de los Templarios.

The stage with destination to O Cebreiro, considered the “queen stage of the road”. In addition to being the gateway to Galicia. On the way it is advisable to stop in places like the Church of Santiago de Peñalba or the Convent of San Francisco.You will arrive at O Cebreiro (1,335 mts), where we recommend visits to different places of interest such as the Church of Santa María la Real, the Chapel of Santo Milagro or the pallozas that are very typical constructions of this área.

Relatively comfortable stage. The only difficulty is the Alto do Poio. Also, you can not leave Arzúa without tasting its Arzúa – Ulloa Denomination of Origin cheese.

Finally you will reach the desired destination; Santiago de Compostela. Soon you will see for the first time the towers of the Cathedral from or Monte do Gozo.
